Wesley Festival features hymn singing at Gary UMC in Wheaton

Enjoy an afternoon of singing hymns on Saturday, April 18, at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton.

At this Wesley Festival, Bill Phemister will be on the piano, sharing the music from his latest album, “And Can It Be.” You’ll have a chance to participate in singing hymns in the sanctuary with the words from Charles Wesley, followed by a reception in the church Commons.

It will be at 3 p.m. at the church, 224 N. Main St. It is free and open to the public, with an opportunity for a freewill donation.

The church has vibrant music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Sunday worship is at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection.
