Streamwood townhouse complex damaged in early morning fire

A four-unit townhouse complex in Streamwood sustained significant damage from an early Wednesday morning fire.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters were called to the two-story, multifamily residence just after 1:30 a.m.

Heavy fire was showing from the front of the building, fire officials said.

Two units sustained damage from fire, smoke and water, while two other units were left damaged by water and smoke.

Two vehicles also sustained “heavy damage,” fire officials said.

All four units were left uninhabitable. Fire officials estimated damage at $800,000.
