Longest-running alternative fuel event in the Midwest returns May 14 to Wheaton

The Illinois Alliance for Clean Transportation will present its annual Green Drives Conference & Expo on Thursday, May 14, hosted by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County at Danada House in Wheaton, Illinois.

Recognized as the longest-running clean transportation events in the Midwest, Green Drives is a premier gathering for government officials, fleet managers, corporate sustainability leaders and clean energy professionals seeking cost-effective and sustainable solutions to reduce emissions.

Green Drives is tackling the ever-changing alternative fuels landscape with this year’s theme, “Navigating Change: Trends, Technologies and Best Practices on the Road to Next.”

Thought leaders, policymakers, manufacturers and industry experts will share their breadth of knowledge, helping attendees chart the fastest routes to success with useful and timely information on alternative fuels for fleets.

Attendees have the chance to not only network with experts from around the country, but learn firsthand experiences from fleets currently using alternative fuels and electric vehicles.

Beyond the speaker sessions, attendees can visit exhibitors working in the alternative fuel industry or that have incorporated alternative fuel vehicles and equipment. The latest customizable EV trucks, vans and passenger vehicles will be on display outside, along with equipment powered by CNG, LPG, renewable fuels and more.

Green Drives is still accepting exhibitors and alternative fuel vehicles for display. Exhibitor and vehicle display details can be found on IACT’s website.

Questions can be directed to Lynn Stafford, director of business development and events, at lynn@il-act.org.

Green Drives is sponsored by ComEd, EV Energy Group and True Alternative Fuel Systems.
