Volunteers plant 150 pinwheels to mark Child Abuse Prevention Month
The Exchange Club of Wheaton, Prevent Child Abuse Illinois and Bikers Against Child Abuse joined together to “plant” the fourth annual Pinwheel Garden Saturday at the corner of Manchester and County Farm roads in Wheaton.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Boring into the partially frozen ground was no easy feet, as volunteers planted more than 150 blue pin wheels.
The pinwheel has been used by Prevent Child Abuse America since 2008 to draw attention to the issue of child abuse and the solution of effective prevention.
The Exchange Club of Wheaton, charted in 2022, is dedicated to the elimination of child abuse through community service, Americanism and youth programs.
