Man pleads guilty to stealing car in Willowbrook
A man accused of stealing a car in Willowbrook and fleeing police has pleaded guilty.
Amarion Sutton, 19, of Maywood, pleaded guilty Feb. 11 to one count of felony aggravated possession of a stolen motor vehicle, according to DuPage County court records.
Sutton was sentenced to two years of probation and 180 days in jail. He only had to serve half of his jail time and was given credit for the 90 days he spent in jail awaiting trial. He was released from jail on Feb. 11.
He was one of three people charged in connection with the Nov. 18, 2025, theft of a Nissan Altima.
Authorities said Sutton was the driver. An Oak Brook officer attempted to stop the car on Route 83 and followed it onto eastbound I-88, at speeds reaching more than 100 mph. The car was stopped by a tire-deflation device.
A co-defendant, 25-year-old Isaac Ramirez of Cicero, awaits trial on felony charges of burglary and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. A 16-year-old boy from Orland Hills was charged with felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle and unlawful possession of a firearm.
