Roselle firefighters battle blaze at apartment complex Tuesday

No one was hurt in a fire in Roselle Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Firefighters were dispatched at about 1 p.m. Tuesday to a reported structure fire on the 200 block of Springhill Drive. Fire department personnel saw smoke emanating from the building’s roof. Crews extinguished the fire within 20 minutes.

It’s unrelated to an Oct. 24 fire in a different Spring Hill apartment building, which was accidentally started in one ground-floor unit, according to a news release.

A few units had minor water damage.

Roselle Police Department Social Services is assisting an affected family with immediate needs.
