Schaumburg police: Woman dead, man in custody following early morning disturbance call

Schaumburg police officials say a woman is dead and a man is in custody following an early morning domestic disturbance call Tuesday on the 100 block of Roselle Road.

Authorities said officers responded to the area near the Schaumburg Town Square just before 5:30 a.m. and found the woman deceased. They said a man was detained and is being questioned in connection with her death.

Late Tuesday afternoon, police identified the woman as 37-year-old Jenny Rodriguez of Des Plaines.

Rodriguez and the man were known to each other, authorities said.

Police said Rodriguez’s family is providing detectives with assistance in the investigation.

Detectives remained at the scene late Wednesday afternoon conducting what officials described as “still a very active investigation.”

No charges were expected in connection with the case Tuesday, authorities added.
