Car hits dental office in Glendale Heights

A car crashed into a dental office in Glendale Heights Wednesday night, damaging the lobby and waiting area.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. at Glendale Heights Family Dental, 1177 Bloomingdale Road, according to Glendale Heights Police Chief George Pappas.

The office was closed at the time.

The driver of an SUV had exited a nearby Portillo’s restaurant parking lot and pulled into the parking lot of the strip mall housing the dental office, and lost control of the vehicle, according to Pappas. The driver and a child in the car were not injured, Pappas said.

Because the crash happened on private property, the driver will not be ticketed.

The office was closed Thursday due to the damage and to make repairs.

“Thankfully, no one was injured, and we are incredibly grateful for that,” Dr. Bhumika Patel said.

She said the office is trying to reopen by Monday.
