DuPage County Board to convene night meeting

DuPage County Board members will hold a rare nighttime meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The board typically meets at 10 a.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. But in recent years, the board has agreed to host one evening meeting so more of the working public can attend and address members in person.

The second Tuesday of this month is Veterans Day, a federal holiday, so county offices will be closed. As a result, the regular meeting date moves to Nov. 12.

The finance committee will meet at 5 p.m. in the county administration building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton. The county board meeting, which usually starts at 10 a.m., will instead begin at 7 p.m.
