Primark to open new store in Gurnee Mills ahead of the holidays

Primark, a global retailer offering quality fashion at value prices, will have a grand opening Nov. 20 for its new location at Gurnee Mills.

Founded in Ireland in 1969, Primark has more than 470 stores across 18 countries in Europe, the U.S. and the Middle East, employing more than 80,000 workers. Primark’s first Illinois store opened in October 2023 in Schaumburg’s Woodfield Mall.

The company will continue its brand expansion with new stores opening in Texas over the next two months and the recent announcement of four new lease signings across Florida, Georgia and its first entry into Minnesota.

The new stores will introduce shoppers to Primark’s mix of on-trend fashion, everyday essentials, stylish homewares, and beauty favorites for the whole family, according to the release. With women’s denim starting at $12, men’s tees at $5, and girls and boys sweatshirts at $8, shoppers can outfit the entire family for less than $50, the release said
