St. Raphael Catholic Church welcomes Father Christopher Lankford

St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville recently announced that Father Chris Lankford has been appointed by Bishop Ronald Hicks of the Diocese of Joliet to serve the parish community. Father Chris brings nine years of priestly service, pastoral leadership, and a strong commitment to his mission of “Leading Souls to Heaven.”

Previously, Father Chris served at St. John the Baptist Parish in Winfield, where he was called mid-term to St. Raphael. His earlier assignments included Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst and Sts. Peter and Paul in Naperville.

“God has led me to St. Raphael for a purpose,” Father Chris said. “I believe deeply that He desires eternal life with each of us, and I am humbled to walk with this parish family on that journey.”

A native of Clarendon Hills, Father Chris brings both spiritual depth and a relatable, approachable nature to his ministry. Outside of parish life, he enjoys weightlifting, golfing, cooking and smoking meats to share with friends, and playing in a casual volleyball league. He is also a dedicated dog owner to Cal, his 6½-year-old rescued golden lab.
