Northbrook Symphony takes stage Feb. 26 for Winter Concert

Schumann's Cello Concerto in A Minor, performed by Noah Chen, is featured in the Winter Concert of the Northbrook Symphony Orchestra at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, at the Sheely Center for the Performing Arts, 2300 Shermer Road.

It's the second concert in the Northbrook Symphony's 43rd season.

Chen, former principal cello of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra as well as a soloist, attends the Curtis Institute of Music and is a member of the Chen Family Quartet.

The Northbrook Symphony, under the baton of Music Director Mina Zikri, also will perform Brahms' Serenade No. 1 in D Major.

Jim Kendros will present a lecture before the concert, starting at 2:45 p.m.
