A.R.F. hosts annual fall garage sale to benefit local rescue animals
Animal lovers and bargain hunters alike are invited to the Animal Rescue Foundation’s Fall 2025 Garage Sale on Sept. 5-6. It will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 531 W. Roosevelt Road in Wheaton.
This much-anticipated annual event offers an incredible variety of items — from pet supplies and home goods to hidden treasures — all at unbeatable prices. And the best part? Every dollar raised supports A.R.F.’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home homeless pets in the Chicago area.
As a no-kill, volunteer-driven, foster-based rescue, A.R.F. relies entirely on community support to care for animals in need.
How you can help:
1. Attend & Shop: Every purchase helps save animals!
2. Spread the word: Invite friends and family. Share on social media or in your neighborhood.
3. Donate gently used items: Drop-off times for donations are Aug. 29 to Sept. 3, from 8 a.m. to noon at the sale location. Items in good condition (except clothing) are welcome.
4. Volunteer your time: Help is needed with setup, sorting, and running the sale during the following shifts: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29; 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30-31; and 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday to Thursday.
