DuPage County to resurface Gary Avenue to Route 64

Wheaton drivers may want to avoid a county-controlled stretch of Gary Avenue due to roadwork.

Crews for the DuPage County Division of Transportation are grinding down the existing pavement in preparation for placing a new layer of pavement. The resurfacing project runs on Gary Avenue from Jewell Road to North Avenue.

While the road remains open, drivers in the area can expect delays as a result of lane closures and shifts in traffic patterns while county crews are working, according to a city notice.
