Wauconda Fest returns this week with rides, food, music

Enjoy rides, food, music and more at Wauconda Fest Thursday through Sunday, June 26-29, in Cook Park, 600 N. Main St., Wauconda. Festival hours are 5-10 p.m. Thursday, 5 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Wauconda Fest Car Show will be open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29, in Cook Park. Joe Lewnard/jlewnard@dailyherald.com, 2019

The event features carnival rides, an arts and crafts show, a beer and wine tent, food, live entertainment, bags tournaments for adults 18 and older on Saturday and for adults and teens 13 and older on Sunday, a car show and more.

The Main Stage music lineup includes ’80s rock with Hi Infidelity on Thursday; country music from Don't Rock the Jukebox and classic rock from 7th heaven on Friday; rock, pop, country and metal from Oh Yes! and pop cover band Hello Weekend on Saturday; and ’80s cover band Breakfast Club and Roger That performing surf music, British Invasion music and rockabilly on Sunday.

Admission is $5 for all four days. Bags tournament registration is $30 per team for the adults tournament and $15 for the parent/teen tournament.
