Costume creator to bring historic hats to Glen Ellyn History Center

On Saturday, July 12, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society is hosting historic costume creator Ellie Carlson on “Fedoras to Fascinators.” The program will begin at 2 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St.

For centuries, hats are a way to showcase the best attributes as well as personalities of women and men. Carlson brings her 30-plus years of experience in historic costuming to this fun presentation. Actual examples of historic hats are part of the program.
