Mount Prospect approves license for Indian Fusion restaurant

The Mount Prospect village board approved a liquor license for Chit Chaat Cafe, a new Indian Fusion restaurant at 1716 E. Kensington Road, in the former Salerno's location.
Owner Maheshkumar Patel previously owned a convenience store and liquor store in Wisconsin. He also served as a cook at a Hindu temple in Wheeling specializing in homemade Indian cuisine.
Patel plans to feature live entertainment, including musicians and comedians at the 65-seat restaurant.
