Learn about God’s communal love at Gary UMC in Wheaton

For the next two Sundays at Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton, learn about the untranslatable Hebrew word, “hesed,” and its concept that reveals God’s communal love.

On May 4, religion professor Daniel Somboonsiri will lead the discussion about the meaning of “hesed.”

On May 11, Somboonsiri will explore the church as a trinitarian community centered on God’s love. This class will deepen your understanding of God and what it means to live in God’s community.

The classes will begin at 10:10 a.m. at the church, 224 N. Main St. The church has music, kids, youth and adult ministries, plus opportunities for local, national and global missions. Worship is at 9 and 11:11 a.m. Between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
