GCHS Canine Connections to host Fido Fest fundraiser April 26

The Fido Fest Adoption and Fundraising Event will be held at Grant Community High School, at 285 E. Grand Ave., Fox Lake. This event will take place from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 26. The event is indoors, free, and suitable for all ages (but leave your pets at home). Enter at the back of the school through the auditorium doors.

The GCHS Canine Connections Club is raising funds for several worthy rescues/shelters, including American Brittany Rescue, Love Hope Believe Galgo Adoption, Save-A-Pet, and Young at Heart Senior Pet Adoptions.

Attendees can look forward to purchasing dog treats, toys, paw magnets, painted rocks, and over 80 raffle baskets that cater to the entire family. Additional activities will include face painting, punch-a-prize, and roll-a-can games. All sales will be cash only, with proceeds benefiting the four rescues/shelters.

The festivities will feature dog-themed vendors and organizations, four different demonstrations, activities for children, and food from the concession stand, The Dawg Bowl, as well as Nothing Bundt Cakes. Plus, 7 Brew Coffee will donate 150 free iced drinks during the event.
