Wheaton church to host One Earth Film Festival April 25

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, will host the “One Earth Film Festival: Power in Unity” from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 25.

The church will show two episodes from “50 States of Sustainability,” a series of short documentaries about renewable energy and sustainability.

The church also will show one of the One Earth Young Filmmakers winning films.

Tickets are free, with a suggested $8 donation to the film festival at garychurch.org/registrations. You’ll also have a chance to discuss the films with local subject matter experts.

For a list of all films and locations during the festival, April 22-28, go to oneearthfilmfest.org.

The church offers worship at 9 and 11:11 a.m. In-between services, there’s Sunday school for all ages, a coffee fellowship hour, plus the chapel is available for prayer and reflection. For more information, go to garychurch.org or contact the church office at office@garychurch.org.
