Schaumburg seeks nominees in three categories for Volunteer of the Year awards on April 22

The village of Schaumburg is accepting nominations through April 1 for Volunteer of the Year to be recognized at its upcoming luncheon featuring Certified Speaking Professional and author Kent Julian.

Awards will be given in three categories: Adult Volunteer, Volunteer Organization and Youth Volunteer.

Nominees can represent social, civic, religious, community, school and nonprofit organizations within the village of Schaumburg and Schaumburg Township community. Nomination materials are available on the village’s website at schaumburg.com/VOY.

­­Award recipients will be selected by a panel of judges and honored at the 37th annual Volunteer of the Year luncheon April 22 at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 1901 E. Woodfield Road in Schaumburg.

The luncheon is open to the public. Those interested may register and pay online at schaumburg.com/VOY by April 15.
