Author to recount thrilling tales of female spies in WWII France at March 8 program
On Saturday, March 8, historian and author Kit Sergeant will present her program, “World War II Women Spies,” at 2 p.m. at the Glen Ellyn History Center, 800 N. Main St. The Glen Ellyn Historical Society sponsors this program.
Nancy Wake and Marie-Madeleine Fourcade were faced with unimaginable odds. The two women, with one using the code name “The White Mouse,” guided hundreds of French Resistance agents through treacherous landscape during wartime France while managing to avoid the Gestapo.
