Community Baptist Church to offer free English as a Second Language classes

Community Baptist Church, celebrating 190 years of service to the community, is starting its winter 2025 English as a Second Language program.

The classes will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursdays, beginning Feb. 6, in the education building basement of the church, 28W444 Main St. in Warrenville.

The 10-week program is open to all non-English speakers who wish to learn English, regardless of their native language. No prior knowledge of English is required, and preregistration is not necessary. All class and study materials will be provided free of charge. Child care also will be available during class times.

This valuable community resource is made possible through a generous grant from the American Baptist Home Mission Societies in partnership with the Johnson Family Connection.

Community Baptist Church continues its commitment to serving the community by offering these ESL classes. Learning English can open doors to new opportunities, and the church is proud to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for individuals to develop their language skills.

The ESL program is not limited to Spanish speakers; all are welcome. Community Baptist Church has a long-standing tradition of serving diverse populations within the community.

For more information about the ESL program (in English), call (630) 393-9609. Para más información en español, llame al (630) 393-7057, x3101.
