Endeavor partners with organizations to address health barriers, invests $8.8 million
Organizations in Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Palatine and Naperville are among those that will receive $8.8 million this year through Endeavor Health’s Community Investment Fund.
Based in the Chicago area, the Endeavor Health system serves patients in more than 300 ambulatory locations and nine hospitals, including Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights and Edward Hospital and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, both in Naperville.
The Community Investment Fund (CIF), now in its fourth year, forms partnerships between Endeavor Health and community organizations to tackle social determinants of health and eliminate barriers to accessing healthcare.
The program has invested more than $30 million in community organizations since it began in 2022.
“By bringing together diverse community groups, we don’t just fund projects — we create opportunities for collaboration that drive innovation, spark new ideas and deliver solutions that are greater than the sum of their parts,” Kristen Murtos, Endeavor’s chief innovation and transformation officer, said in a press release.
The fund’s 2025 partnerships include one with Search, Inc., of Mount Prospect, to create a certified behavioral health clinic to serve people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The Faith Feeds Food Pantry, an extension of All Saints Lutheran Church in Palatine, will receive funds to add a new walk-in cooler and freezer.
The Northwest Center Against Sexual Assault, based in Arlington Heights, will use its partnership to renovate a new facility to expand trauma services, increase staff and volunteer capacity and add support groups.
In Naperville and Elmhurst, The Conservation Foundation will apply CIF funds toward increasing crop yields and reducing food production costs that will help provide produce to food pantries.
