Enjoy ‘The Musical Magic of Christmas’ with Elmhurst Choral Union Dec. 15

The Elmhurst Choral Union will present “The Musical Magic of Christmas” at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in Hammerschmidt Chapel at Elmhurst University, 190 S. Prospect Ave. in Elmhurst.

Celebrate the festive season with holiday classics, traditional choral-orchestra works, and movie favorites performed with a professional orchestra.

There might even be a special surprise visit from the North Pole!

Pieces include a movement of Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio,” “White Christmas,” “A Christmas Festival,” “Three Holiday Songs” from “Home Alone,” “Christmas Day,” “Ceremony of Carols,” and a special performance of “March of the Toys” performed by the orchestra.

Tickets are $25 or $15 for youth up to age 18. Purchase tickets online at elmhurstchoralunion.org/tickets or at the door the day of the concert.

The group, led by artistic director Scott Uddenberg, will be accompanied by a full professional orchestra. The 50-plus member chorus has rehearsed and performed since its founding in 1952 at Elmhurst University, with a mission to create outstanding choral performances for the community to appreciate and enjoy.
