Second teen detained in West Chicago murders

A second West Chicago teen has been ordered detained while awaiting trial on charges stemming from the murders of two men earlier this month.

Ivan Ramirez, 18, of the 800 block of Parkside Avenue, is one of two people charged with killing Alejandro Rios and Antonio Delgado on Nov. 9 in West Chicago, while robbing them during a deal to buy THC vaping cartridges.

Co-defendant Xavier Arevalo appeared in court last week. Ramirez’ appearance was delayed because he was hospitalized with a gunshot wound.
