Welcome the Christmas season with Chicago Master Singers

Share the joy of the season with Chicago Master Singers' (CMS) popular Christmas concerts, “Arise! Shine!” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8. This year's program includes beloved CMS favorites by Charles Ives, Elizabeth Poston, John Rutter and others, along with new discoveries by Eleanor Daley, Rosephanye Powell, Kevin Siegfried and more. Chicago Master Singers will perform several intimate, unaccompanied works, as well as works with organ accompaniment. Vocal soloists from the chorus will be featured.

Concerts are held at Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St., in Glenview, which offers a fine acoustic and sightlines, and its Buzard organ is one of the best in the Chicago area.

Ticket prices range from $18 to $50. Discounts are available for teachers, seniors, and groups of 10 or more. Concert information and tickets are available at chicagomastersingers.org/concerts or tiny.cc/CMStickets.

Established in 1979, Chicago Master Singers is an auditioned chorus of around 100 volunteer singers from Chicago and suburban communities. The ensemble’s repertoire includes great choral works and new works by living composers. CMS performs unaccompanied and also collaborates with professional instrumentalists and soloists.
