Year-round food donation sites in Carol Stream

A partnership between the Carol Stream Park District and DuPage County will offer two park district facilities as year-round collection sites for Carol Stream Outreach Community Center and Wayne Township food banks.
Food collection boxes are located at Fountain View Recreation Center, 910 N. Gary Ave., and the Simkus Recreation Center, 849 W. Lies Road, both in Carol Stream.
Unexpired and nonperishable items currently needed include peanut butter, pasta and rice, canned tuna and chicken, canned fruits and vegetables, and pancake mix and syrup.
Also, dish soap, baby and adult diapers and wipes, hygiene products, and all-purpose cleaning products are needed.
