See portrayal of Florence Nightingale at Wheaton church Oct. 20
Hope Presbyterian Church in Wheaton will be hosting an encore presentation by Megan Wells on the story of Florence Nightingale.
Wells is a respected and experienced story and theater artist. She is known for intimate storytelling and creating exciting experiences for her listeners. Last March, at Hope Presbyterian Church, Wells presented an exciting story about the life of Mary Magdelene.
This October, she returns to present the Florence Nightingale story. You know Nightingale as the founder of modern nursing, but she was also known for her expertise in statistics and math and was also a prolific writer.
Nightingale’s intense personal relationship with Christ helped provide the strength she needed for her work and believed that her faith should manifest in active care and love for others.
Find out more about Nightingale’s life’s work and her legacy at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the church, 1771 S. Wiesbrook Road.
