A Lakemoor home was left uninhabitable after a fire late Thursday on the 500 block of South Longbeach Road.

No injuries were reported in the blaze that took nearly 30 minutes to extinguish, according to McHenry Township Fire Protection District officials.

Firefighters were called to the one-story, single-family home around 10:40 p.m. and found flames and heavy smoke coming from the garage.
