TMA recognizes 2024 Rose Mottl Leadership in Manufacturing Award to celebrate women inspiring change in the industry

The Technology & Manufacturing Association (TMA) awarded Aneesa Muthana with the 2024 Rose Mottl Leadership in Manufacturing Award on Thursday, Aug. 29. During the association’s annual Women in TMA Luncheon, Muthana was recognized as a woman who has made significant contributions to the industry and has inspired current and future generations of women in manufacturing.

Muthana has been the CEO and co-owner of Pioneer Service Inc., since 1993 and the CEO and co-owner of her family’s business M&M Quality Grinding. Muthana also serves on the National Association of Manufacturers Board of Directors.

“Manufacturers are makers. The process of bringing people together to make something that will go on to serve a bigger purpose is where my passion lies,” Muthana says. “Knowing that the parts that leave my shop are contributing to the world at large, touching lives and benefiting people fuels my passion.”

Muthana is deeply involved and dedicated within the industry and travels as a keynote speaker to bring awareness on inclusivity to the industry through mutual respect. She is heavily engaged in her community, encouraging people to rethink manufacturing and bringing to light all the opportunities in this field. All this, while still making the time to be an active, present member of TMA.

“Aneesa exemplifies all of the characteristics of the award, she continues to innovate and push the manufacturing industry forward while serving as an inspiration to women who thought a career in manufacturing wasn’t for them,” said TMA President Patrick Osborne. “It’s important that we encourage more young women to get involved in manufacturing and people like Aneesa are showing how women can have lucrative and fulfilling careers in this industry.”

This is TMA’s 13th year presenting the Rose Mottl Leadership in Manufacturing Award.

Founded in 1925, TMA is an independent trade association exclusively funded by industry and solely focused on small and midsize manufacturers. TMA has nearly 900 members representing approximately 39,000 manufacturing employees and more than 27 million square feet of manufacturing plant.
