Renowned guitarist to play at Reed-Keppler Park

Acoustic guitarist Jim Green will perform from 7-8 p.m. July 10 as part of West Chicago’s Summer Concert Series at Reed-Keppler Park, 19 W. National St.

The Chicago-based guitarist, who released his latest full album, “Prime,” in May, has been cited by Billboard as one of the Midwest’s top independent artists, and won the 2004 Guitar Idol Championship.

Utilizing unique tunings and a percussive approach to guitar, he’s performed with the band, America, and has opened for artists including Pat Benatar, Poi Dog Pondering, Ann Wilson of Heart, and Lucas Nelson.
