Get rid of unwanted electronics in Park Ridge on May 18

You can safely get rid of unwanted electronic devices May 18 in Park Ridge.

Maine Township staffers will collect such machines between 9 a.m. and noon at the township hall parking lot, 1700 Ballard Road, Park Ridge.

The event is limited to township residents. People can drop off up to five items per address.

Items that can be recycled include computers, DVD players, keyboards, fax machines, scanners, printers and video game consoles.

No toasters, blenders or batteries will be accepted.
