Mount Prospect promotes second female sergeant

Mount Prospect police have promoted officer Lisa Schaps to the rank of sergeant. It is the first time in the department’s history that two female sergeants have served simultaneously. The other is Alison Teevan.

Schaps is a 17-year veteran of the department. She has served as a school resource officer at Prospect High School, a field training officer, a field youth officer, an evidence technician, an honor guard member and the peer jury coordinator for teens.
