Center of Concern to give out its awards at Harvest Moon Festival
The Center of Concern is proud to announce its annual award recipients, who will be celebrated at the upcoming Harvest Moon Festival fundraiser.
These honored agency partners have a long history of service and collaboration to create a stronger, healthier and safer community.
The awards ceremony will be held during the autumn fundraiser Saturday, Sept. 24, and will recognize Volunteer of the Year Ignatian Volunteer Corps, with volunteers Erin Marthaler and Marilyn Russo; Dee Heinrich Award recipient Martha Luzio, Park Ridge; Excellence in Leadership awardees Rudy and Cindi Smolka, Park Ridge; and Partner of the Year, Cook County Department of Public Health.
"We are so pleased to honor these outstanding supporters as we celebrate the Center of Concern's achievements, made possible by these strong community partnerships and dedicated volunteers," said Center of Concern Executive Director John McNabola.
Through housing, community, and older adult services, the Center of Concern serves local residents with a variety of programs designed to assist individuals and families with challenges related to aging, homelessness, and accessing resources so that they can remain independent in their homes and connected to their communities.
