Northbrook Public Library Offering Microsoft Classes in May

This month, the Northbrook Public Library is offering a variety of classes for those wishing to improve their knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Powerpoint. Whether you're a professional seeking to build your skills or you're a beginner just getting started, these classes are designed to help you make the most of your computer's Microsoft programs.

Basic Word

May 6th, 9:30-11:00am

Reviews the basics of word processing: how to type, spell check and correct text, highlight and change a document's appearance, print, save and re-open a document.

Basic Excel

May 13, 9:30-11:00am

Covers the fundamentals of using Microsoft's spreadsheet program: how to create a spreadsheet and enter and format data and formulas, print, save and retrieve spreadsheets.

Microsoft Powerpoint

May 19, 10:00-11:30am

Learn the fundamentals of using the PowerPoint presentation software.

Intermediate Excel

May 20, 9:30-11:00am

Learn how to insert charts into spreadsheets, validate formulas and functions, change chart types, and review Excel templates.

Advanced Excel

May 27, 9:30-11:00am

Explains autofill, absolute addressing, NOW and IF functions, conditional formatting and data bars. Also explores pivot tables.

Anyone interested in attending one of these Microsoft classes must register with their Northbrook Public Library card. Each class has a limited number of openings, so interested patrons should register promptly to get a seat.
