Mt. Prospect man struck by car

A 37-year-old Mount Prospect man was hit by a car while walking near Golf and Busse roads Friday night, police said.

A woman driving a Nissan Sedan hit the man about 10:23 p.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes of Golf Road, just west of Busse Road. police said.

Paramedics took the man to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where his condition was unknown Saturday.

Police shut down the eastbound lanes of Golf Road for about 5½ hours to investigate the crash; lanes reopened about 4 a.m. Saturday, Officer Greg Sill said.

No citations have been issued to the driver, and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash, Sill said.

Police continue to investigate.
