Fundraiser for vet planned:

Wauconda Moose Lodge No. 1969 and Wauconda American Legion Post 911 are sponsoring a fundraiser for a local Navy veteran with cancer who needs a stem cell transplant. The event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Wauconda American Legion Hall, 515 S. Main St. A spaghetti dinner will be served for a $7 donation. Silent and live auctions are planned for the event, too.
