Chicago Blackhawks' Kane earns top star of week

Patrick Kane, who scored 4 goals and had 5 assists in four games, was named the NHL's first star of the week.

Dallas' Tyler Seguin (4G, 3A in four games) was the second star, and Montreal's Mike Condon (.934 save percentage, 1.66 goals-against average in three games) was the third.

Kane's biggest game came Sunday when he had a goal and 3 assists in a 4-2 win over Edmonton. The 4 points equaled the career high he set in just his ninth NHL game on Oct. 23, 2007, against Columbus.

"He's been excellent," Quenneville said after Sunday's win. "Can't say enough good things about him."

Kane and Seguin are tied for the lead league with 23 points.
