Bears rookie WR Kevin White participates in 11-on-11 drills

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) - Chicago Bears receiver Kevin White participated Wednesday in 11-on-11 drills, another step as the rookie works his way back from a left shin injury that has sidelined him all season.

The No. 7 overall draft pick, White feels like he can "contribute whenever they want me to." He didn't say if he will play this year.

White suffered a stress fracture. A three-week evaluation window to decide whether he will be activated or placed on injured reserve closes next week.

Receiver Eddie Royal (left knee) practiced for the first time in five weeks. Coach John Fox said tight end Martellus Bennett went on injured reserve because of a fractured rib.

Chicago plays Washington on Sunday.
