Predators president Sean Henry to add CEO role Dec. 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Predators president Sean Henry will also take over as chief executive officer Dec. 1, taking over for Jeff Cogen who will help the franchise through Jan. 31 when Nashville hosts the NHL All-Star Game.
Nashville chairman Thomas Cigarran announced the changes Thursday.
Cigarran said in a statement they knew when they introduced Cogen and Henry in August 2010 that Henry eventually would replace Cogen as CEO. Cigarran credits both Cogen and Henry with overhauling and building up the franchise.
Henry has overseen a variety of renovations at Bridgestone Arena, including the lower bowl this summer. The Predators sold out 30 games last season, attracting an average of 16,900 fans. Cogen also has worked with local organizers preparing Nashville to host the NHL All-Star weekend.
