Oktoberfest at Transfiguration

Transfiguration Parish in Wauconda will host an Oktoberfest celebration from 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. The event on the parish grounds, 348 W. Mill St., Wauconda, features live music, German food and beer, activities for seniors and children and more. This marks the beginning of a year of celebration for its 175th anniversary. Tickets in advance are $3 per person or $5 at the door. Children under 12 free.
