Silver anniversary: Prairie Arts Fest turns 25

The Prairie Arts Festival is one of the most popular destinations for browsers of fine arts over Memorial Day Weekend.

In its 25th year, the festival will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 26-27, in Schaumburg on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center.

More than 130 painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters, glass blowers and artists of every sort will display their work outdoors on the landscaped grounds.

Entertainment will be heard on three stages, there is a food court, children’s art activities, as well as free parking and admission.
