Missing Schaumburg man found safe

A 22-year-old Schaumburg man reported missing Tuesday was located early this morning and is safe, Schaumburg police said.

Michael J. Coleman disappeared Tuesday morning after leaving home for a business meeting in Schererville, Ind., police said earlier this week. He sent a work-related email early Tuesday morning, but as of late Tuesday night friends and family had not heard from him since.

Records from his I-PASS showed him traveling in the direction of the northwest Indiana town, but there were later I-PASS contacts that were "unexplained," according to Schaumburg police.

Late Wednesday night, police said, detectives developed information which led police to locate Coleman early this morning. There was no evidence of criminal activity related to his disappearance, police added.

Police did not say where Coleman was found, where he had been since Tuesday morning and indicated they would not be releasing any further information about the reported disappearance.
