Crystal Lake man killed in Hoffman Estates crash

Authorities have identified a 26-year-old man killed in a crash Friday afternoon in Hoffman Estates.

Officers were called to the 2500 block of W. Golf Road for a collision in the eastbound lane between a car and a motorcycle, police said.

William E. Orris III of Crystal Lake, who was driving the motorcycle and was not responsive at the scene, was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates, where he was pronounced dead at 2:50 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

The crash and cause of death are under investigation.
