La Michoacana ice-cream parlor coming to Schaumburg

La Michoacana Natural 100%, an ice-cream parlor selling natural Mexican ice cream, appetizers and other Mexican snack cuisine, is expected to open this summer in Schaumburg's Colony Lake Plaza at 926 Bode Road.

The 1,200-square-foot store will be located in the center of the shopping plaza. Its hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

La Michoacana is a popular name for Mexican ice-cream parlors, with others already operating in Elk Grove Village, Roselle, Lombard, Elgin and Chicago. This will be the first of its kind in Schaumburg.
