Mt. Prospect Fire Department holds open house Saturday

The Mount Prospect Fire Department is holding an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at Station 13, 112 E. Northwest Hwy. People can meet Mount Prospect firefighters and Sparky the Fire Dog and see firefighting equipment and apparatus up close. The event will feature a vehicle extrication demonstration, dunk tank and two magic shows performed by Marshall Brodien Jr., son of Marshall Brodien from the Bozo Show. A climbing wall, fire pole and free hot dog lunch will be provided. All are welcome. For information, call (847) 870-5660.
