Library needs two incumbents

After much contemplation and serious soul searching, I have decided to remove my name from consideration in the upcoming election as candidate as a trustee to the board of the Wauconda Area Library. I believe the Wauconda Area Library is a truly superior Library.

And I don't believe this jewel of a library just happened. It developed through the guidance of some wonderful, careful people. And I have been privileged to work with some of them. Tom, our director of course. But Tom wouldn't be here if it weren't for Ernie Kosty, Terry Stevig, and JoAnne Miller and of course others. But Ernie and Terry are now running and facing a tough election.

We are now transitioning into another phase in our library. You can see much of it. But there is still a lot to be done, because it is not done. Much of it is not just the physical, but the internal structure which is developing. I believe we need not only the experience that Ernie and Terry have but the ability they have shown to help guide our library forward.

As much as I would like to be part of the future, I would rather ensure that at least one, but hopefully both, of these men are here to enjoy the future growth and help us move forward.

Remember, there are three votes for three seats. You do not need to vote for three. You can vote for one, two or three. Therefore, I urge you to vote for Ernie Kosty and Terry Stevig.
