Walk supports brain tumor patients:

The 15th annual Vernon Hills walk to support brain tumor patients and families will be Saturday, May 10, at Century Park, off Lakeview Drive north of Route 60 and west of Westfield Hawthorn mall. All net proceeds from the event benefit the American Brain Tumor Association. Check-in and registration will open at 8:30 a.m., with the 2-mile walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. The walk will take place rain or shine. This event is held to remember all of those who have lost their battles with brain tumors and honoring those who are fighting them. The event provides funding to researchers comprehensive resources that support the complex needs of brain tumor patients and caregivers.
