Bulls/Sox Academy offers MLK Day camps
The Bulls/Sox Academy will offer Martin Luther King Jr. Day skills camps Monday, Jan. 19, at 6200 River Bend Drive in Lisle. All sessions are open to boys and girls ages 7-14.
The MLK Bulls Basketball Camp will cover all elements of fundamental basketball, including shooting, ballhandling, rebounding and defense. After discovering the correct way to play the game, players will get to participate in games to put their new skills to the test.
The basketball camp will cost $50 and run from 9 a.m. until noon. Groups will be divided by age and ability level.
The MLK White Sox Baseball Camp will cover all things baseball such as hitting, fielding, throwing, base running and sliding. Players also will participate in games to put their new skills to the test.
The baseball camp will cost $50 and run from 1 to 4 p.m. Groups will be divided by age and ability level.
There's also a combo camp option in which participants will spend half the day working on basketball skills and the other half working on baseball skills. The combo camp will cost $90 and run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
